I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember, hiding under the covers with a flashlight and reading just one more chapter! Somehow along the way, I lost that love… between required reading for school, and other priorities, I sort of forgot about it.
At the start of 2022, I had a goal to read just 6 books. I figured, one every two months was doable, right? By the beginning of February that goal was met, so I upped it to 12, then 50, then 100. I ended up reading 202 books in 2022! My love of reading was definitely reignited.
You never truly finish a good book. Its story lives on in you forever.
I think what really sparked things for me was finding contemporary romance. I read a few Christina Lauren and Colleen Hoover books, and I was hooked. Prior to that my go-to genre was sci-fi/fantasy YA – which I still read on occasion!
