💭 overall thoughts:
PERFECT start to the series! I loved the main couple, and also how well Meghan set up the rest of the series – I can’t wait for each and every one of their books 😍
(I’ve read them since writing this, and they’re all so good!)

MCs:
Pacey – what a secret softie. I loved that he never really had a girlfriend because no one felt “right” for him – until Winnie came along 🥰

Winnie – love her sense of adventure and taking chances, and felt for her in her fear of trusting and letting others in.

📖 story:
Imagine being stranded and stumbling upon a house full of professional hockey players?! I’m not sure if I’d walk right in, or run the other way 😅

Thankfully the guys all end up being super sweet to Winnie, quickly taking her in as one of their own.

My tiny hesitation in giving this 5 stars is that at a certain point I was debating if Pacey was pushing Winnie TOO much to be with him, when she was very much in a vulnerable state. She definitely cared for him and maybe needed that push, but I had a moment where I was feeling a bit uncomfortable.

This was one of my top reads of 2022, so I wanted to reread to see if it was as good as I remembered – and it TOTALLY IS! 😍

First off – I LOVE Christina Lauren beyond words 😍
Ivy Owens is the Lauren half (Lauren Billings) under a pen name!

Gigi & Alec – OMG these two!!
Ivy brings the SPICE early on in this one – like chapter 2 – and it’s 🥵🔥

This is one of my absolute fav celebrity romances. I love how they handle their developing relationship, and the impact of Alec’s fame on it.
The side story with the investigation is also super intriguing, and I loved how everything ties in together.

I listened to the audio this time around, and narrator Charlotte Penfield did a phenomenal job!

The problem? They haven’t told Jane about it.

Hendrick is happy to be back in his hometown, needing a break from LA and the life he’s not sure he wants anymore. He moves back in with his brothers, and helps take care of them, while also looking out for Jane.

Jane starts to fall hard and fast for this mysterious stranger who seems to always be at the right place at the right time, coming to her rescue.

Hendrick is falling too, but has to hold back due to his job.

I really loved this series, and I think this book may be my fav!

I loved the way things built between these two, their push and pull dynamic between what they want and what they should do.

Jane *temporarily* moving in with Hendrick & his brothers for protection made this book even better! I loved forced proximity of living together, and the awesomeness that is the Holland family.

Of course, loved seeing all the gals from the previous books & their beaus.

And just what sweet Rosie deserves 🥰

I couldn’t put this book down, I loved it so much. Being the 3rd book in the series, we get a lot of the previous characters as well – which is amazing! We’re also introduced to some new side characters, who are the perfect support for Rosie.
